Andrew Farmer
Andrew Farmer is a Sports’ anchor for RT.
Since his arrival in Moscow for RT's launch, Andrew has become one of the faces of the channel and anchored RT's live coverage of the Olympics from Beijing.
Andrew has been a journalist for over 15 years, starting out as a news reporter on weekly papers in the UK, before working for the Yorkshire Evening Post in Leeds.
After several years as a print journalist he made the switch to television and worked as a reporter and presenter for ITV's regional network based at Border Television in Carlisle.
During his time in the UK he also freelanced for national papers. But apart from news reporting his keen interest in sport saw him complete a stage of the Tour de France which was turned into a half-hour documentary for ITV and Eurosport.
As for his own interests, he enjoys playing tennis, tries to cycle despite moscow's crazy traffic and follows the dodgy fortunes of Wolverhampton Wanderers.
