Bill Dod

Bill Dod is one of the studio anchors for RT.

Apart from covering many news events, he has reported on location from Ukraine and carried out over 50 live interviews from Red Square during the Russian presidential election in 2008.

Although Bill qualified as a teacher, his first job was working for BBC Local Radio in the UK for four years hosting many programmes, including a news and current affairs breakfast show.

He then moved to television to present regional programmes for ITV before fronting Timekeepers, a general knowledge daytime quiz show for BBC One. Much of his work has also been interviewing employees and company directors for business television.

Despite being based in Moscow, he continues to work on business videos in Europe, Sky Travel TV shows and hosting events for blue chip companies. His voice can be heard on commercials and promotional videos in the UK and also in Russia.

Bill schedules his TV work around his other interests – fly fishing, renovating property, tennis (his great aunt, Lottie Dod is the youngest ever Wimbledon champion – winning the title five times) and collecting air miles on flights from Moscow to London.
