Egor Piskunov
Egor Piskunov is a roving correspondent for RT.
He began his reporting career during the Caucasus conflict of 2008. During the August events, Egor spent 13 days in Tskhinval, covering the events of the turbulent period and issuing regular updates about the situation in both North and South Ossetia.
Before taking up correspondent work, Egor worked as a broadcast journalist in RT’s newsroom.
Egor grew up surrounded by journalism: his father, grandfather and grandmother all share the profession. He spent his childhood in a diverse multicultural environment, attending a school attached to the UN in New York.
Egor completed his professional studies at the Moscow State University where he graduated from the international department of the faculty of journalism.
