Marina Dzhashi

 Marina Dzhashi has been a news anchor at RT since the channel’s launch in 2005.

Marina has provided live coverage of high profile events, including the G8 and EU summits. She has interviewed a wide variety of guests in studio, among them the former president of Chechnya, Alu Alkhanov, PACE President Rene van der Linden and many other prominent political figures.

Her professional experience spans more than ten years and covers such fields as education and media. Marina started her journalism career in radio as a news presenter at the Voice of Russia World Service English Branch. She produced a number of radio features and programs for different radio companies. Marina also hosted a morning phone-in talk show at one of Moscow's FM radio stations.

She holds a Bachelors in Linguistics (Honors) from Moscow State Linguistic University as well as a Masters (Merit) in International Journalism from Westminster University, UK. She also studied liberal arts at the University of Texas, Austin and obtained a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from London Metropolitan University.

Having grown up in New York and New Delhi, Marina developed a strong interest in foreign cultures and later in life pursued career opportunities in countries as diverse as Japan, the UK and Russia.

In her free time Marina enjoys traveling, playing the piano and dancing the salsa. She is passionate about foreign languages and is fluent in English, Russian, French and Italian. Marina’s most recent interests are cinematography and filmmaking.
