GULAG Art MuseumGulags are a symbol of political repressions. But did you ever know the prisoners of those camps created amazing pieces of art and decorated their hard daily life the best they could? The collection gathered by the ‘Memorial’ society includes works by known artists such as Boris Sveshnikov and unknown prisoners, along with personal documents of the people held in the camps and thousands of photographs. Open: daily noon-midnight Rybny BazarRybny Bazar – Russian for “seafood market” – will bring relief to those who can’t live without the sea and its edible dwellers. Shellfish snuggled down into chipped-ice beds, as well as fresh squid, sea bass and red mullet can all be found here. Lobsters from the Atlantic and the Indian oceans are a speciality. Prices at Rybny Bazar are bearable – oysters are $3 each, seafood starts from $6-10 per 100 grams. post comment
