Russia’s 16-year-old fashion sensation storms Hollywood

16-year-old Russian fashion designer, Kira Plastinina, is taking on the U.S. with her sporty-style glamour. With more than 40 boutiques around the world, the daughter of a Russian multi-millionaire is now making her mark

And having celebrities like Paris Hilton on her client list, she has managed to draw out the stars to her latest show.

“The stuff I make. It's great fun. Sometimes it's edgy. But it's cute. It's girly. It's sweet. It's sporty. It's sexy,” she said.

A number of leading celebrities came to the show dressed and accessorised in Kira's label.

One of them, Audrina Patridge from ‘The Hills’ reality TV show, is a huge fan. “I went to her store a couple of weeks ago and was like – OK, you have to help me pick out a dress for your party, your event.”

The guest list also included actors Adrian Grenier, Hayden Pannettiere and R&B artist Chris Brown, who also became a sensation by sixteen.
 
“She's inspiring a lot of kids to do stuff like this. Especially, if they're into fashion or anything. I think we are the brand to inspire all the kids,” Brown said.
 
Plastinina has been delighted with here success so far and is hoping to make her mark in the U.S.

“When I'm in Russia I look outside of my window and I'll see people wearing my clothes on the streets and it makes me really happy,” she said. “I think I'll be so happy to see American people wearing my clothes as well.”

At the party, VIP guests were treated to a fashion show debuting Kira's spring-summer collection.

Blogs and media outlets are abuzz about the Russian sensation, dubbing her “a teen tycoon” and “the next ‘It’ girl”.
 
She has opened three shops in Los Angeles and one in New York. Two more in each city are under construction.

Customers say moderate prices ranging between six and sixty dollars are a big draw. 

While the 16 year-old designs all the merchandise, finances come from her father Sergey Plastinin, known as one of Russia's largest dairy producers.

The family team reportedly plans to open 50 U.S. stores in the next three years – at which point Kira Plastinina may be an established trend-setter and a household name.
