While Russia are celebrating their quarter-final triumph at Euro 2008, one of the country's biggest domestic clubs is also enjoying a milestone. It is 85 years since Dynamo Moscow was formed. And to mark it they're playing Dinamo sides from Belarus, Ukraine and Georgia – their principal rivals in the Soviet league.

Hosts Dinamo Moscow played Dinamo Kiev in the first game. Russian Alexandr Kerzhakov and Portuguese Danni, star-players from the Moscow team excluded from their countries Euro 2008 squads, both appeared at Dinamo stadium. The game ended 1-1 and was decided in a shootout, which the home side won.

Dinamo will now play their namesakes from Minsk and Tbilisi in two other games.
