Baby you can drive my car!

Classic vintage cars and stylish women are among the more alluring things in life. Put them together and you have an almost irresistable combination. At least that's the theory. And it proved to be the case this week at Moscow's third girls-only classic car rally – an event that didn’t fail to spin wheels.
People often stop and turn around when they see a beautiful woman passing by. Rare and vintage cars can have the same effect. And at the Third Women's Rally of Classic Cars in Moscow one can see both. This event has already won its position as one of the brightest happenings of the summer.
The fact that only ladies' crews were allowed to take part in the race doubled interest in the event. Beautiful women of different professions, all dressed up, were at the wheel of gorgeous automobiles.
Some participants used the event as more of a chance to show themselves off to high society than as a race itself.
Normally the roar of engines is not associated with women. But as the evidence shows women are no less interested in cars than men.
Some even seemed to have fallen in love with the cars they drove, like TV presenter Tatyana Vedeneeva. She says she really loves her Mercedes.
“All cars I’ve ever had were given names. Because I think cars have their own characters! And I also gave a name to this one – she's Anna, as it's a queen's name. Though this car is fast, I think one shouldn't long for speed at the wheel of such a car. I'm here for pleasure”.
Fighting equipment, roads and rivals made the rally particularly interesting. Manual gearboxes proved a struggle for those more used to automatics. So, the involvement of the fair sex made ensured that this event not only a retro-car race, but also a competition of style and elegance.
