Legend Jagr quits NHL for Russia

One of the NHL’s biggest stars, Czech Jaromir Jagr, will start his next season in Russia. The New York Rangers announced they won't be signing the veteran player, and he’ll now join Avnagard of Omsk in Siberia.
The team manager, Anatoly Bardin, says the club and the player have signed a three-year deal worth $US 35 million.
Jagr played in Omsk during NHL lock-out in 2005 season. He scored 16 goals in the regular championship and added 4 in the playoffs.
Marcus Naslund, currently signed from Vancouver, will replace Jagr in the Rangers' squad.
