Thieves be warned! Angry heron on guard

Residents of a settlement in Khabarovsk region, in Russia's Far East, need not worry about their gardens - they've got an unusual guard to defend them against uninvited guests.
A gray heron named Tsapa is usually on the beat accompanied by her patron who keeps her on a leash.
And Tsapa’s loud screeches warn about prowlers better than a dog’s barking.
The bird came to the local gardening settlement last autumn after her wing was damaged.
Though she is useful to the residents, Tsapa will be soon moved to a local zoo due to a rather quarrelsome and untamable character.
Unfortunately, she cannot return to her natural habitat as her injury prevents her from flying.
