Chocolate makes your dreams come true!

An off-the-wall monument has been erected in Russia’s city of Pokrov. The three-meter bronze fairy is dedicated to…chocolate! It is the first ever sculpture of its kind.
According to RIA Novosti, the ‘Kraft Foods’ company has conducted a special research project to make absolutely sure no other such monument has been registered in the world.
The design by Ilya Shanin was chosen among the many that took part in the contest. The monument itself looks as if it, too, is made of chocolate. “I was inspired by chocolate. I’ve eaten it so many times and, at a certain point, started to perceive it as a model” – says the architect.
The sculpture now occupies one of the most picturesque parks in the city. The grand opening of the monument took place on Wednesday.
Russia can boast many such original monuments: there is a monument dedicated to cabbage, to ravioli, to cheese spread and even to pickled cucumbers. In the very near future, a monument to Russian vodka is to be erected in the country.
