Russia has to change its views on EU. Being part of EU, Russia can benefit because it would loosen up trading, allow Russian citizens to travel though the EU without a visa, or with much less obligation. It would open a new market for both the EU and Russia, and build a strong and concrete infrastructure against terrorism and the many problems that come forth. Russia needs to stop being paranoid of NATO and think what is really beneficial to everyone, not the pockets full of money of politicians who are paranoid their power would be taken away.

US and Turkey don't allow Greece to extend its terrritorial watters around the inselands to 12 miles in accordancce to International low.
US and Turkey talk about equal sharing of the oil and other mineral depositis.
Why doesn't Russia conduct oil research in the Agean sea with Greece, assure Greece of its rights to territorial waters and deposits and then help Greece in drilling as a contractor?
Then considering that NATO has not the authority to prevent its members from attacking each others and in order to protect Russia its contractual interests, will be obliged to furnish Greece with the adequate arms {SS 400} etc in exchange with oil, port facilities etc.
