Serena beats sister for Wimbledon crown

Serena has triumphed over her sister Venus in the All-Williams final at the All-England Club, claiming her third Wimbledon crow.

The Williams sisters, whose head-to-head encounters were tied at 10 apiece before the game, once again showed that they are evenly-matched rivals.

Both were faultless on their serves in the opener. But Serena managed to save more nerves and energy, putting 8 aces in. And it eventually paid of in the tie-break, which she won 7-3.

The fate of the Wimbledon crown was decided in Game 6 of the second set, in which Serena finally broke Venus. The score became 4-2 and the younger Williams cruised to a 7-6, 6-2 victory.

Serena and Venus have now won eight out of the last ten Wimbledon titles, with Serena clinching three of them.
