Sudan bans Russian cargo planes after crash

The Sudanese President has banned Russian-made cargo planes from operating in the country after a fatal air crash. Four crew members, including a Russian, died when an IL-76 came down near the Sudanese capital, Khartoum. It's the third plane crash in the North African country this month.

The Russian-made jet but lost altitude shortly after take-off for the city of Juba.  It crashed in a deserted area close to the airport outside Khartoum

It’s reported that a fire broke out at the site of the crash.
