GUA(M) – another one bites the dust

The organization GUAM (Georgia, Ukraine, Azerbaijan, and Moldova) ended their latest summit in the Black Sea resort of Batumi in failure – the second year in a row. Moldova’s president, Vladimir Voronin, again failed to show up. And there is good reason for this, GUAM’s mission is to “counter Russian influence the post-Soviet space” and Moldova has realized there is no wisdom in this. Just the contrary, working with Moscow does pay dividends.
