Denver levels L.A. Lakers

Denver Nuggets took full advantage of home court, destroying the L.A. Lakers to level their Western Conference final series at 2-all.

The hosts, who took an early lead in the game, increased their advantage in every half, finishing with 19 points ahead at the end of the game.

Chauncey Billups and J.R. Smith contributed to Denver’s success, scoring 24 points each. Kobe Bryant’s 34 points weren’t enough to save the Lakers as the Nuggets took the game at 120-101.

The best-of-seven series now moves to L.A., with the next game scheduled on May 28.

In the Eastern Conference final series Orlando Magic lead the Cleveland Cavaliers 2-1.
