The oligarchs of the world need a little arm twisting. If Arm twisting doesn't work, they should be taxed out of existance. There is no justification for any one person to have billions of euros in wealth while their fellow citizens are taxed to death to support their corrupt habits. Break up the oligarch's empires and sell them back to the people at bargain prices. The world needs more evenhandedness.
Welcome to real Putinism, the real new deal. The new governing system that means future. Obama is trying to apply same practices but is obviously failing due to endless power of big corporations in US administration. What he needs to do is the same Putin did in 2000. We all know what an accomplishement that was!
Kapitalism with state control which will remind all oligarchs of their moral and social obligations! Thats the solution to our current global missery.
Wow, I'd love to see that happen to about a dozen Wall Street CEOs right now. And yes, Russia does need to improve its regulatory function. So do we here in the United States. Maybe we can take notes on how they do it!
Good to hear from Africa on justices abroad. I agree, why should people work without pay? I am sure that his temper goes with the job. Bosses got to be mean or rather firm sometimes.
Russia is an extremely large country, and its leader cannot run around personally addressing each and every industrial and commercial abuse. What he should do, though, is (1) establish an adequate, fair and effective network of financial, workplace and criminal legislation to govern economic activity through appropriate incentives, penalties and clear guidelines; (2) Establish and maintain efficient and non-corrupt enforcement agencies to effectively monitor industrial activity and to appropriately enforce relevant legislation; (3) Establish and maintain an independent judiciary in Russia in place of the highly compromised judicial system that currently exists, and (4) Promote an ethic that honours the rule of law by ensuring that both the present government and its officials, and past regimes and officials that operated in Russia, are held accountable for their actions by a free press and by prosecution for crimes committed, including for crimes against humanity where these have occurred. A free and fair electoral system would also help. In the absence of such institutions and structures in Russia, the Prime Minister is instead reduced to the role of visiting fireman, going here and there in a miscellaneous kind of way to involve himself with issues that are politically advantageous for him to engage. Good governance will never be achieved through such ad-hoc methodology.
I wish my country had such a caring leader, people go for months without pay, the bosses say the company is making a loss so they cannot pay wages. And yet these same bosses are driving the latest Mercedes Benz's.

When a country's economy only works if pushed by a prime-minister in person, it means it doesn't work at all.

GREAT MAN!
What a lot of bs about his "temper". He was very restrained with that ......person.
