Federer makes history

Former tennis men’s number one Roger Federer has claimed perhaps the most valuable victory in his career, taking Roland Garros by storm in his 10th attempt.
Currently the world number two, Federer destroyed Robin Soderling in the final in straight sets. The Swede, who was dubbed the giant-killer in Paris, couldn’t find the keys to Federer, however.
Federer took the fist set 6-1 in 23 minutes.
In the second there was drama when a man ran from the crowd and tried to put a hat on Federer’s head. The player pushed him aside before the man was tackled by security. Federer went on to take that set in a tie break.
And in the third he finished the 23rd-seed 6-4.
After the final shot, Federer fell to his knees in celebration before moving to the net and tearfully exchanging words with Soderling. "It's incredible," he said in French.
Soderling, in his turn, said he had “had the two best weeks” of his career and admitted Roger “was the best player in history".
The Swiss has now had victories in all four Grand Slam events. He’s also equaled Pete Sampras's world record of 14 major titles.
