Stanley Cup to be decided in Game Seven

It’s 3-3 in the Stanley Cup final series after the Pittsburgh Penguins took a narrow win against the Detroit Red Wings on home ice.
The Pens had two powerplay chances in the first period but failed to take advantage of them, but the home team scored playing five-on-five in the second 20 minutes. Jordan Staal was the first on the rebound after his own shot to upset Detroit keeper Chris Osgood.
The start of the third period saw Pittsburgh doubling their lead. Tyler Kennedy was the quickest man at the Red Wings crease to make it 2-0.
Detroit, who were just a win away from their second straight Stanley Cup, did everything to come back into the match. Kris Draper scored to make it 2-1, and Daniel Cleary had a great chance to level the score, but failed to put the puck in the net after a rendezvous with the Penguins keeper.
So the fate of the NHL champions’ title will be decided in Game Seven on the ice of Joe Louis Arena in Detroit, which makes the Red Wings slight favorites.
Detroit’s team has won all the matches on home ice of the final series so far, and when the Pens last came to Detroit they were thrashed 5-0.
