The US is just playing the same old game, if we have war, then it should not be on our land. The whole disarmament strategy is to try to move the US, out of reach. It is a bilateral farce. It attempts to weaken Russia's postion with the US, whilst at the same time, the US strengthens the European position against Russia with an AMD system. The only proven security guarantee for Russia, consists of two parts, the first is that the US will immediately be involved, given a conflict in Europe. the second is that Russia has sufficient Nuclear and other technological armaments to thwart a European orchestrated attack. These are the basic facts, now the game of politics plays out, as every body tries to shuffle to gain an advantage. Yes we need to talk, but also we need act to bolster our nuclear capabilities against Europe. History shows that this is where any potential attack will come from. We don't want war, however one thing we need to ensure, is that if it does break out, then we will once again win, but this time forcing the huge casualties on Europe. It is the only deterrent that will keep us all safe in our beds, Russians, Americans and Old Europeans.
