Veterans against troops in Afghanistan

Barack Obama has yet to make a decision on whether more troops will be sent to Afghanistan. His top military advisors say greater numbers are needed. However, that view is not shared by some veterans of the conflict.

Brock Mcintosh is one of these veterans who recently voiced his anger in the U.S. capitol.

“I am here in Washington with five other soldiers who are also veterans of Afghanistan and Iraq,” he told RT.

“We are going to different congress persons to show them what is happening in Afghanistan from the perspective of soldiers and Afghan civilians,” he added.

The veterans are advocating against increasing U.S. troops in the region and are calling for the Obama administration to look into alternative methods for Afghanistan’s development.
