Faces of Russia Today

Dmitry Medvedenko

Dmitry Medvedenko is a business news anchor.

Dmitry joined Russia Today at its inception as a broadcast journalist, in the summer of 2005. He was one the first members of the Business Today team, and remains proud of what the programme produces. A substitute presenter at first, Dmitry took on the anchor's seat permanently in 2007.

He holds a degree in Finance & Credit from the Economics Faculty of Moscow's University of International Relations (MGIMO). Dmitry also studied European Economics as an exchange student at the Institute of Political Science (Sciences Po.) in Paris, France.

Born in Moscow, he spent his childhood in Brussels, Belgium, where he attended two schools simultaneously - a European school in the morning, and a Russian one in the evening. Back then, he had to communicate with native English and French speakers, learning the languages from scratch, which was not an easy task for a Russian kid. However, now Dmitry is eternally grateful for that opportunity, as he developed a fluent command of both languages, and he even voices educational audiotapes in Russia.
