Denis Bolotsky

Denis Bolotsky is a Russia Today correspondent, covering events in the Northern Caucasus republics, including Chechnya. He is based in Vladikavkaz, North Ossetia.

Denis has reported live on a range of international and domestic stories for the channel, including the first anniversary of the Beslan school siege, the terrorist attack in Nalchik in October 2005, the Pulkovo airlines crash in Donetsk in August, 2006, the situation in Georgia and its "frozen conflict zones" - South Ossetia and Abkhazia, as well as a number of stories in China, Southeast Asia and the U.S.

Denis is also the author of several feature stories on Russian politics, history and current events.

Born in Russia, he studied journalism in his home country, as well as in the Netherlands and in the U.S. Denis also has a management degree from Krasnodar State Technological University and is currently working on his PhD in journalism at Kuban State University.

He began his career in 1994 at a radio station in the United States. He then went on to work for Kuban TV, a regional Russian channel based in Krasnodar and broadcasting to an audience of over 5 million.

During his television career, Denis has been working in many areas, including news editing, production, presenting and reporting.

Denis is fluent in English and Dutch.
